In a (nut)shell

Post by MSpagni »

I hate the shell dialogs of Windows 7 and up, in special mode the "copy" one, in which you have to check "apply also to the next xxx conflicts" then click the "copy and replace" megabutton (that don't even seems a button).
So I'm a very happy user of Classic Shell that gives me the old fashioned dialog with the simple and straightforward button "yes to all".

All was well until I installed TortoiseSVN.
Since that moment, when I need to "copy and replace" in EDP I get the standard windows 7 dialog, the one that I hate.
And this happens only in EDP!
Why?

N.B. I don't know if it has something to do with the above, but when EDP shows the copy dialog then EDP itself does not appear in the application list that's shown with <alt><tab>.

EDP uses SHFileOperation Shell API for its file operations. It does not use any undocumented flags or tricks so I'm not sure what is going on.

For what is worth: it seems that the problem disappeared.
I did nothing,
Maybe some "windows update" corrected it.
Don't ask me...
