What are the "tag" options for?

Post by Alexo »

The help for the command line options says:
/dt1:name use this as the tag for the first/left file
/dt2:name use this as the tag for the second/center file
/dt3:name use this as the tag for the third/right file

When I run EDP with the following options: file1 file2 /dt1:"tag1" /dt2:"tag2"
I don't see any indication of the tags.

What are they used for?

Command line options /dt1:name, /dt2:name, /dt3:name allow replacing "Theirs", "Base", and "Yours" UI tags in merging.

/dn... are for names, /dt... are for labels (if you don't like default ones: "Theirs", "Base", "Yours").
