Well, I suspect that your file is indeed binary (can you open it in Notepad?). If so, you can treat it as text (Options | Compare) but the result may be not be very useful. Or compare files as binary files.

There's no special command for this. Just check out a file, then log in with a different user name, and try to check out the same file. You'll see the message that will give you the options regarding the second check-out (you need to enable multiple check-outs under Project Options | Options).

It's actually more simple than you think. FtpVC is mostly a peer-to-peer system, so when a checked-out file is requested to be checked out by another user, this other user can "take over" the file by getting an exclusive check-out of the original file. Of course, all changes made by the fi...

Not via the FtpVC UI. However, you can easily clean up unneeded versions by going to your FtpVC subdirectory (.ftpvc by default) and deleting old versions (by default, files that end with ;1, ;2, ;3 etc.)

No, there's no such option. But it can be done with the help of plug-ins and synchronized word wrap. For example, you could use a Perl script, such as: Save...

Having ignored lines highlighted in diff blocks tends to annoy more than help (this is based on the comments from our users). You can try using the setting and see what I mean. Generally, once you learn that lines you set to be ignored are indeed ignored, you don't want to use this setting anymore.

Re: Messengers in profile

Hello. 1) Beginning from some unknown time, I don't see options to change messengers' attributes in my profile (ICQ/Yahoo/MSN/etc.), so I can't update them. Am I missing something? 2) Is there a way to set my avatar that is located in FortuneCity site (60x60, 1.9kB in JPEG)? When I set it, it is so...
