No, there's no workaround. It's not really a problem; this is how editors should work IMO: preserve the linebreaks.

No, I can't reproduce this. I tested a Unix file, and the text is copied with LFs only (try it with a binary editor, such as frhed).

This is by design: you get an exact copy of your text fragment, including linebreaks. If you didn't have LFs in the file, you are not going to get them in the clipboard.

If the program crashes, it's in no way normal. I can assure you that we'll try to fix it as soon as possible. However, since we cannot reproduce this problem, we'll need some cooperation form you. Well, since the issue was never reported, and therefore never reproduced, it's not fixed. However, 2.4 does provide several stability fixes.

Please try it out and let us know if the problem is still there.

We thought about using a separate command but then decided in favor of combining it with "View Whitespace".

However, I do agree with your reasoning, The latest build contains "View End-Of-Line Markers" as a separate command.
