A problem arises if the line breaks of the two PDf files are different, a not infrequent event. Very annoying, but I have not found any good idea to circumvent it. The way to compare PDF files is to enable the PDF to Text plug-in (Options | Tools | Plug-ins). This way your files will be converted to text prior to comparison.

ExamDiff Freeware's last supported versions are 8.1/Server 2012, but it will work on Windows 10. ExamDiff Pro will for many reasons (including Windows features support) work better.

ExamDiff Pro does not talk directly to databases, so to compare any DB artifacts you would need to first export them to a file.

There should be a way to allow step 5 to override it. If you have different instances running different sessions, there's no way for them to know what's happening in the other. Change suggestion: Pre-populate both the file and directory fields with the currently active ones, but don't save them to ...
