Re: EBCDIC is not being displayed correctly
OK, in light of what was said, here's the plan. We'll delay the input file code page (and default page) implementation to a future version. For this version (14, now in Beta), we'll try and make the following change to binary comparison: instead of the current Binary Options | Character Set, we'll h...

Re: EBCDIC is not being displayed correctly
Sounds good. If we decide to go with this approach, (1) it will be done in the next version (15) and (2) the existing EBCDIC support in binary comparison will go away, for obvious reasons.

Re: EBCDIC is not being displayed correctly
Thanks. We were thinking about these code pages... Here's an idea: why should EBCDIC files treated as second-class citizens and compared as binary files? Or, for that matter, any other non-Unicode (ANSI) code pages? So one potential approach would be to have an option in EDP to define the default co...

Re: OOXML2Txt
If the document is corrupt to begin with, while the error message looks cryptic, it's what the OOXML library returns. Interpreting all possible errors is not feasible.

Re: OOXML2Txt
What are the steps to reproduce? I try the original steps, with and without "Save files before re-comparison", and it worked as expected.

Re: EBCDIC is not being displayed correctly
Could you please provide some sample files that encoded with code page 37? And maybe a couple of code page 500 files?

Re: a few v13 bugs?
Thank you. This and other spin controls will be fixed as well. The fix will remove thousands separators between every three decimal digits.

Re: a few v13 bugs?
Thank you for reporting this. I can confirm the 1 and 2, they will be fixed in the next build. As for the 3, how exactly is it reproducible? The default is 512, and using the up/down arrows simply makes it 513/511, at least for me.

Re: How to display Toolbar text labels?
You are right, this feature disappeared once we switched to the new UI library. The URL you are quoting is old (will be removed), the right one is https://prestosoft.com/ps.asp?page=html ... tomize.htm

Re: EBCDIC is not being displayed correctly
I do not wish to be rude, but is there a reason why you guys can't do that? Because it's not something we know well. We did look at the web resources, and they seem to be not very clear, at leas with our level of knowledge of EBCDIC encoding. So IMHO, the default should be to use only a 32-bit file...
