Crash but no minidump

Post by MSpagni »

While I was experimenting with EDP 12.0.0.5 32 I had a couple of crashes. (Investigating...)
I asked to save the minidump but I'm unable to find it.
Could you please tell me what should be the minidump name and, possibly, also where it should have been saved on XP?

Please check your C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps folder for any ExamDiff.dmp files.

The only files .dmp that I have in my HDD are from Chromium, except one from LibreOffice.

By the way: I said "XP".
There's no "C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps".
At most "C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user_name>\Dati applicazioni" (no "local")
or "C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user_name>\Impostazioni locali\Dati applicazioni\PrestoSoft\ExamDiff Pro 10.0" that, beside being old, is also empty.

%SystemRoot% expands to C:\WINDOWS and that directory has no Minidump subdir.

Well, it's XP... Maybe try searching for *.dmp files on your PC?

Already done at least three times!

Just in case you wonder: no, for the search I didn't use the Windows search, even if the XP version was better that the one of Windows 10.
I used a special tool (xplorer2, for the records).
