Add files very very slow

Post by shinja »

Hi i just recently bought FTPVC and i really do love it cause it is very easy to use.

Unfortunately when i add files to the FTP server via FTPVC it is very very slow compared to manually using an FTP client to put my files in.
I have read on some parts of this forum that there is a "enhanced tracing" on where the the connection slow down is pin pointed.

would love to know how that works or if there is any tricks to speed up the connections.

Thanks in advance.

I didn't get the trace log I was looking for but here's another approach one could use to add multiple files/folder to version control: use any FTP client to upload files, then use the Attach command to add existing files to source control. This will still generate FTP traffic in order to create stub files but the amount of it will be significantly lower.
