Sending out updates.

Post by jmds »

Hi,

I work with a system that has over 1,500 php files and have many clients using the system and modifications.

The combination of FtpVC and ExamDiff Pro have become a large part of my development process.

What I would like to be able to do is the following.

Once I have developed a system change for a client, I run ExamDiff Pro to compare the development folders with the system I have setup on my test server. This gives me a list of all the files I have amended in the development process (saves a lot of note keeping). I realise that I can copy the amended files over the ones on the test server in ExamDiff Pro. However, I would like to be able to create a folder structure containing just the changed files in order to create a zipped update file. I can then test this update on my server prior to sending to the client.

I hope this makes sense to everyone and hopefully there is a way to do this, if not could it be added to a wishlist please.
Many Thanks
