default to case insensitive search

Post by mthand »

I'm sure this is a setting somewhere, but I can't find it.

When I do a Find (Control-F) the "Match Case" is checked by default.
I regularly need to uncheck it as I almost always need case insensitive searches.

Is there a setting to have it default to case insensitive, or, persist the checked state for the next session ?

Thanks

This option is persisted every time you click on the Find button in the dialog. Does it now work for you this way?

Well, for some reason now, it seems to persist.
All in all I never use case sensitive searching, and I know I have to uncheck that box often (in fact I had to this morning, which finally prompted me to contact you). But now it's seeming to stay unchecked, across sessions, so I can't duplicate it anymore.
I'm pretty sure something is checking the Match Case box, but I can't make happen now.

So thanks anyway.
