ExamDiff 5.0 Ignores are Ignored When Comparing Folders

Post by kilgore661 »

I have two folders f1 and f2 both containing a single file called 5.txt. The two versions of the file differ only in their end-of-line markers (one is Linux, one is Winders).

I set up the options to ignore changes in all whitespace and linebreak styles

but when I compare the two folders ExamDiff shows that the files are different when they are not according to my settings.
Shows result of folder comparison (note that 'use ignores' is on)

Here is confirmation that the two files are identical with my settings:

Is what ED shows me when I compare the folders correct? I would expect it to tell me that the folders are identical.

I don't have your Directory Comparison options but you need to use Full File Comparison in order to compare files based on their contents.
