NAS: Identical Files Are Out Of Date

Post by fellafoo »

Hello,

I recently moved my FtpVC projects from a GoDaddy Linux-based site to a local Synology DS220+ NAS. I'm accessing the NAS via FTP and it's working fairly well (and blazing fast). However, when I perform a find by status, I get a lot of files with an 'Out of date' status even though the files are identical. Any ideas on what I can do about it?

Thank You,

MFM

One possible reason for this is that your file ended up with two stub files. You can verify this by using some FTP client, such as FileZilla, and looking in the FtpVC subdirectory of your file directory. If so, you need to delete the older one, and the problem should go away.

Thank you, that seems to do the trick. There are other duplicate stubs that don't have the same effect. Should I delete those as well, or just delete them when the problem occurs?
