Lost without 3.3's 'arrow' cursor

Post by stevenpph »

Is there any way to go back to the yellow arrow marker that ver 3.3's compare window used? It looks like it was changed into a variable length yellow line. I found the arrow to be easier to locate.

No, I'm afraid the yellow bar is going to stay. It does provide an additional benefit of outlining the size of a diff block.

I can see your point. The pointer is quite a bit thinner now (which I like). If you have a high resolution display or poor sight, you can keep the rest readable using a large font. Can't the yellow bar adopt the width of the font (1ex, as in CSS) or of the user chosen color bars?

Even with Options > Display > Scroll current diff to center enabled, you may need to locate the difference if it is up front in the file.

The latest build of 3.4 Beta now has two options to control visibility and width of the bar (under Options | Display).

The adjustable width is very helpful - thank you.
