HTML Reports in ExamDiff Pro

I'm a new user trying out your product (ExamDiff Pro) and for the most part I like it very much. What I'm using it for is to compare very large text files generated by the legislature in Massachusetts. These are mostly budget related documents with up to 1500 line-items and, in some cases, a lot of "inside language" describing what the line-item and appropriation may be used for.

In any case, in generating the very useful side-by-side comparison reports, the only problem I'm finding is that the HTML reports that the program generates are huge, and much bigger than those generated by some competitors (which I'm also trying out). Am wondering if there is any way to generate smaller or simpler HTML files.

There's no option to make diff reports smaller. Version 5.0 actually generates smaller reports than 4.5, so you may want to use 5.0. I'm not sure how our competitors do this but ExamDiff Pro generates a self-contained HTML report in a single file.

If you could give me an example (contact us by email via the contact page), I'll take a look, and perhaps something could be optimized for the upcoming release of 5.0.

A quick followup: we were able to find ways to reduce HTML reports by 30-50%. The change is coming in the next build of 5.0 Beta.
