Bug? in way file paths are shown in Compare window?

V5.0.1.14
The compare window opens fairly small. When a long filename is presented in one of the fields it seems to be shown right-justified so you see leafname info rather than drive & start of path - and that's good. When the window is dragged further open, I find that both displayed paths do not expand to use the available space, unless neither is selected. A filepath that's selected stays put with only its rightmost characters displayed.
When one field is selected and only shown partially, I can get the whole value shown by:
a) selecting the other value then the first one again
or b) using the dropdown list for the selected field and reselecting the current value
or c) going into Options and then cancelling that
It would be better if selection didn't affect how much of the path is displayed!
It might also be useful if very long paths could be displayed in a tooltip - wrapped if needed - so one can always see the whole path value even if it is wider than the available screen width.
