Comparing Numeric Columns in CSVs

Post by leej »

I have two csv files to compare. Some of the columns are ASCII numeric and I would like values that are equivalent to a specifiable number of decimal places (in this case 6dp) to be considered equal. e.g. if the two files contain "3.4567890" and "3.4567894" they are equal but if the second file contains "3.4567900" they are not equal. Can I do this using examdiff pro?

Thanks,
Lee

No, this kind of numeric comparison is not currently possible in ExamDiff Pro. The only way to make it work would be to have an application that preprocesses files by rounding numbers, then use it as a plug-in in ExamDiff Pro.
