A directory comparison shows "blocks" of files. For instance if you order by column Status, you're likely to have four blocks: Same files, Changed files, Deleted files, Added files.
Copying those "blocks" isn't as easy as in file comparisons. You need to select all the files in the block and as far as I know you can only do that by selecting the first and extending the selection to the last (e.g. Shift-click on the last). So suggestion: when clicking on the current diff bar in a directory comparison, select all the files in that block.

Good idea. It's implemented in the latest 3.4 Beta. The feature works for all three modes (text file, binary file, and directory comparison). Also, if you click on the bar but outside of the yellow area, EDP will move current difference to the one closest to the click point.
