I was comparing two epubs.
They are different.
There is no plugin (e.g. 7zip) for them, and anyway the plugins are disabled.
Result: two panes with just one line (line 1) empty, no dialog messages (they are NOT disabled) and the status bar that, in the lower left of the screen, says "No differences found".
That's completely wrong (except that, of course, two empty files are equals ).
The "Compare as" list box has everything disabled. The toolbar is that of "text files".
No problem with other kind of files (at least so far).
(N.B. XP 32; later I'll test Win10)
Odd things comparing epub files
Re: Odd things comparing epub files
Could you attach two sample files that illustrate the problem?

Re: Odd things comparing epub files
The fix will be coming in the next build of 13.0. The issue is related to binary comparison of large files when advanced comparison algorithms are used. In addition to the fix, since these algorithms use more memory than the classic algorithm, a new binary comparison option will control whether to use advanced algorithms in binary comparison.

Re: Odd things comparing epub files
EBUP format is ZIP format. I thing the plugin should be applied and the content (html, css, xml files) be compared in sequence.

We will add it to the list of files handled by the ZIP plug-ins. In the meantime it's easy to do it manually in Options | Plug-ins.
