Now that Windows on ARM seem to be growing legs, any plans to provide an ARM version of ExamDiff Pro?

We have no current plans to implement this. What kind of device are you using? On this device, does what we have not work?

I am moving workflows over to a Surface Pro 11 which is based on the Snapdragon X Elite. Native software flies in this device. Your current offering works, but for bigger tasks it is kind of slow having to run emulated. I mostly likely shouldn't be too hard to start building a ARM64 version. Really hoping you would consider something. A lot of WoA devices are gaining momentum these days.

It's not that we are never going to have a ARM64 version, it's just that we don't have an immediate plan do so. We certainly realize that it's going to happen. I guess one way to get there is to start using a Snapdragon-based device in house.

BTW, how much slower is EDP in emulation mode? Are you using 32- or 64-bit build?

I'm using EDPro 15.x (X64) on Windows11 (24H2) ARM64 under Parallels on a MAC M1 Mini.
Difficult to benchmark, as I have no idea how the emulation is accomplished. JIT Compile perhaps?
It's certainly quite usable, but a native version would probably fly.

Leslie
P.S. MACOS version would be nice, but that's probably out of the question

Hi psguru,
New V16.0.0.3 (ARM64) BETA working fine under Win11 on Parellels (MAC).
Had to move my "password.bin" file across from the V15 install dir to the new V16 after installation, otherwise smooth sailing!
Many thanks,
Leslie

Thanks for testing! I'm curious: did you see, during the installation, a checkbox offering to uninstall previous versions?

Hi psguru,
Yes, I did see , and select the "uninstall previous versions" checkbox.
Once installation was complete, the only thing left behind in the "Examdiff Pro 15" was the "password.bin" file from the activation of V15.
Moved that to the V16 directory to stop V16 trying to run in trial mode.
All AOK.
Cheers,
Leslie
