Scrolling trail in flat mode

If, in directory comparison, you click on the scroller and, while dragging it, you shift the mouse out of the scroll bar then some files/directories are selected. Quite annoying.
N.B. It's some time I see it, but I feared it was a problem of the 32 bit version only. Now I'm positive it's structural, even if it's less apparent in the 64 bitter.

P.S. More properly, the files probably are not selected, only higlighted.

Are you referring to highlighting of right pane items while scrolling the left pane and hovering over the right?

Uhmm... I always use the synchronized scrolling, so it's not significant which pane is "officially" scrolling.
Of course, the spurious higlight happens only in the pane that's under the mouse.

This is what Windows calls hot tracking in list views, and you can see in Explorer when hovering over items with your mouse, even when the Explorer window is not in focus. What you are seeing is the same thing, and as you might guess, not likely to change.

Sorry to contradict you, but Explorer does not behave that way.
I never saw it in Explorer and, I'm positive, I never saw it in EDP until... I don't know. Maybe version 14?
It's obvious we aren't talking about the same thing.
What's the use of leading a sparse trail of random higlighted lines under the mouse path?

I can confirm that it's just a spurious higlight because, after releasing the left mouse key, passing the mouse over the higlighted lines erases the highlight.
It seems more frequent when there are differences between the two panes but it happens even when there is no difference.
It's also probably dependent on the speed of the scroll; if youre lucky the higlighted lines are scrolled off screen very quickly, bit if you suddenly stop scrolling...

It's probably also dependent on the speed of the computer.
The slower the computer, the more frequent the effect.
Guess with my good old XP...
Anyway, as I already wrote, I never saw it (even on XP) before... v.14?

Perhaps you could make a video of this behavior so that we can figure out if we are talking about the same thing.

OK, we'll make a change to not do hot tracking while dragging the scroll thumb (in the next build).

I got the same effect scrolling the panes using the mouse wheel while at the same time moving the mouse. (64 bit, 15.0.1.22)

In build 15.0.1.22 (check your About box)? I can't reproduce this. If you can, please create another video.
