I am using the command line to run Examdiff to generate a HTML report for 2 4 MB text files. Sometimes Examdiff fails with an error 1450. Can you tell me what is going wrong here ? Does Examdiff generate any log file

No, EDP does not produce a log. Depending on your OS, take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q236964 , or search Google for error 1450 -- it seems to have something to do with your page file size.
