Re: Bug when comparing directories

Thanks again. We are still unable to replicate the error but there will be a change in the next build to make saving cached diffs more robust.

Re: Bug when comparing directories

Thanks. We haven't been able to reproduce this so far.

I don't believe there are any changes that could affect this behavior since build 12.0.1.1.

Could you also attach an image with the error? Any other clues, of course, would be welcome.

Re: Bug when comparing directories

If it's reproducible, please attach your sample folders and your exported options.

Also, it would be helpful to know what last build worked for you for the same pair. Is it also possible that something changed on your machine?

Re: Hot wheels :-)

My guess would be Windows API that doesn't not support full mouse wheel functionality under XP.

Thank you for your detailed report. The fix will appear in the next build of 12.0.

We'll actually have a fix for this in the next build of Version 12.

Re: Hot wheels :-)

While I sympathize with your problem, making this work would not justify the effort. It's not really that easy to hold the left mouse button down, track the pointer, and at the same time use the wheel (I tried). Besides, you can scroll panes while creating manual sync points by dragging the mouse up...

Re: Directory Comparison and "Ignore lines"

Yes, if you use the "Full file comparison" option under Options | Directory Comparison, all options form the Text Comparison page will be used.

Re: Ignore line breaks

So for this example, what do the relevant file fragments look like? Could you attach both files or their fragments illustrated in the image?

Re: Ignore line breaks

Yes, EDP is, like most diff tools, a line-based utility. I think "ignoring line breaks" is a fine way to describe your feature. What tool are you using that does this?

Re: Ignore line breaks

If the current diff is off the screen because you clicked on it and scrolled up a bit, then you are unable to get back to it using the arrows.
You can: use the Current Diff command (the square button between the up and down arrows).

Re: Ignore line breaks

I want it to always move to the next change relative to the cursor position
... and it already does this. Whatever the closest diff block is to the cursor position, EDP will make it the current diff.
