Failure on save

Post by MSpagni »

While comparing a couple of (text) files, I made some changes to both using the EDP built-in editor, then I clicked on "save both files" and I got:

ExamDiff Pro
---------------------------
Could not save file ... (the right pane one): Impossible to create a file if the file already exists. (Error 183).
---------------------------

N.B. Just in case it's noteworthy, I have the auto-recompare enabled.

I can't reproduce this. Could you post your options here?

Sure. Well... maybe!
I'm not allowed to attach a text file here.
I'll send you the option file via the official mail address.

N.B. I forgot to tell that it happens only sometimes. It's not exactly repetitive.
As soon as I can get more hints I'll tell you.

I got the same problem a few moments ago.

A detail: I was doing a file compare (and editing) coming from a double click in a dir comparison session.
That doesn't explain anything, I tried again in the same way modifying another couple of files and everything went fine, but I think it could be significant.
