Plugins

Note that, unlike previous versions, ExamDiff Pro 5.0 includes plug-ins directly in the setup file.
It doesn't seem so.

Well, I'm not sure why you don't see it. One of the installation steps will ask you whether you want comparison plug-ins to be installed. They are included in the setup itself.

If I got it right, you mean that now the setup process includes the request if plugins are needed or not. If needed, they are downloaded from the 'net.
Sorry but because of all the betas I forgot this is "new". ;-)

I was thinking instead that the plugins were included in the single file installer.

Now that I think about it, that was indeed the case before in which you had two files available: the one including and the other not including plugins.
Not being always connected to internet, I'd prefer to still have the "one file has everything" option.

Regards.

Actually, starting with version 5.0, plug-ins are no longer downloaded from the Internet - all of the plugins are included in the installer.

Of course you're right!
I completely missed it.
And that's exactly what I expected from your statement:
Note that, unlike previous versions, ExamDiff Pro 5.0 includes plug-ins directly in the setup file.
How did you manage to cut in half the size of the installer+plugins?
I was fooled by that. Sorry.

We carefully went through all of the included plug-ins and removed all unnecessary files. It was then that we realized that the installer became sufficiently small that there was really no reason to continue offering the installer without plug-ins included.
