MS Visual C error pop-up

Post by JeremyNicoll »

V5.0.1.14 on an XP Pro SP3 machine

I've been using EDP on & off for hours, but wasn't actually actively doing anything with it when suddenly I got a pop-up error box which said something like:

Error from MS Visual C (++ ?) Redistributable
- I've been asked to terminate in an unusual way by ...EDP... please tell its vendor.

There's no copy of that in the Event logs, or anywhere else as far as I can see. The system still seems fine and EDP still works...

Sounds like a crash. Please get the latest build (5.0.1.18), and if it happens again, please send us the crash dump.

Ta, I'll do that (in a few days). Dump wise, do you mean the one created by Windows' resident Dr, or is there a EDP-specific dump location?

In this case it's the Windows location. If EDP creates a dump, you will be prompted (which I assume you have not).
