We have 3 licenses for v. 3.4. I have been given a new machine and need to install EDPro on it. I am totally tired of resinstalling the license. Why does it not take and remain valid????
I have brought up the "About" dialog, pressed [Ctrl-R], and pasted in our license string, had the license accepted (as evidenced by one of the attached gifs), closed and restarted EDP only to be back using the UN-licensed version (as shown in the other attached gif). I am moving from an XP machine to a Win7 machine. What do I need to do to get the license installed on this new Win-7 machine?
I have copied file password.bin between the installation folders on the two machines, and that is not the answer.
Moving EDPro license to a new computer
Re: Moving EDPro license to a new computer
My problem may have been version confusion. After installing v. 3.4 with a license string, and the license being accepted but not remaining in effect, I downloaded and installed v. 5.0. The installation routine for v. 5.0 evidently copied the license key from the 3.4 installation, and v. 5.0 is apparently licensed. My guess is that the key was for the newer version.
