Let's state it clearly: I can not be certain, but...
After having installed EDP12.0.1.12 32 on my old faithful (WinXP) the EDP shell integration doesn't work anymore.
I didn't anything else, but I can not gurantee for my wife...
Is it possible there is a bug in the installer?
N.B. In the options I see that
Shell key={29549232-7081-4541-882C-767DB238453C}
has suddenly become
Shell key=###
and that's a fact.

I forgot to tell: reinstalling ExamDiffPro 12.0.1.11 32 did not solve anything.

What do you have in the Registry under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\EDPShell.EDPShellExtObj.2\CLSID ?

In a nutshell: nothing.
No EDPShell.EDPShellExtObj.2 under \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\

With "it doesn't work" I mean it doesn't appear in the localmenu (mouse right click) anymore.
Sorry.

I just tested build 12.0.1.12 on a Windows 10 Sandbox, and Shell integration works. Let me ask you a silly question: is it enabled under Options | Global?

My experience is: never assume you already know the answer of the silly questions.
But in this case the answer is indeed: yes, it's enabled. And I can say more: it was and it always has been.
You have no idea how I miss it!
I'll do some experiments uninstalling all and reinstalling.
At least it will clean up the installed list that goes back to version 9!

Test results:
uninstalled everything, including the registry settings
reinstalled ExamDiffPro 12.0.1.12
uninstalled everything, including the registry settings
reinstalled ExamDiffPro 12.0.1.11
pronto! Shell integration Ok
It's hard to believe in a chance...

Just in case you wonder: same problem with 12.0.1.13.

I wish we could reproduce this. Could you try using Windows 10 Sandbox and install 12.0.1.13 (assuming you are using Windows 10)?
PS. Looks like you mentioned Windows XP, if this is the case ignore my previous suggestion. We'll have to find a VM and test it on XP again.

Yes, I'm talking about XP.
What has changed between 12.0.1.11 and 12.0.1.12 needing a modification of the shell integration?

Quite a bit. This project was redesigned with an eye on the new style of Shell integration under Windows 11. Anyway, we will probably find a way to support it under XP, one way or another. BTW, the upcoming release, version 13, will likely be the last one that supports XP.
