Menu Edit/Touch option causes view to jump

Post by no body »

Steps to reproduce:
  • Compare two folders with more files than fit on the screen
  • "Touch" one of the files to set the date to Now()
  • Obverse that the view jumps (randomly?) and the file is no longer in view
  • UPDATE: found that the view jumps downward (file moves upward) relative to how far down the touched file is in view.
Build 16.0.0.8 on Win11 Pro
This didn't happen on v13. Not sure about v14 and v15

I can't reproduce this. Maybe something in your options?

Perhaps a setting? IDK, lots of settings in there. I assume you have access to the code - how about suggesting what settings might affect the grid refresh logic after a "touch" command?

Thanks, it's an issue that only occurs if you use grouping in flat directory comparison mode. We'll have it fixed in the next builds of 15 and 16 beta.
