Word Wrap

I don't generally use Word Wrap but...

I would expect that when I turn Word Wrap on, the Horizontal Scroll Bars would disappear because they should not be needed... but they don't.
In fact, with word wrap on, resizing the window doesn't affect the wrapping but changes the scroll bars instead.
If I resize the window smaller, re-compare, then maximize the window, the compared text is still wrapped at the smaller window boundaries.

Can't the wrapping be more dynamic and change as the window is resized?

All you need to do to see what I'd expect is open a file in Notepad. :-)

As I'm writing this, I noticed that I can't edit with Word Wrap on and Undo/Redo information gets lost.
Obviously, it would be better to be able to continue to edit with Word Wrap on.

This all feels awkward.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to add the features you ask for (dynamic resizing, editing with word wrap) while keeping word wrap synchronized between the two panes and maintaining accurate comparison results. Note that when word wrap is turned on, each wrapped portion of each line is treated as a separate line for purposes of comparison - if these line portions are modified (as they would be if they are dynamically resized), then full recomparison would be required to match the new line portions correctly - it is for this reason that the wrapped lines do not change size without recomparison.
